While volunteers and independent witnesses
counted down the last few seconds 10 - 9 - 8 - 7 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 -
David C. Owens almost as if robotic..
as the word two (#2.) was counted out loud...
David began lifting the brush in hand
and moving Sunset's Dawn (sliding it to the side)
and as they declared out loud in the count the number #1.
Thus completing Sunset's Dawn as the 2nd Millennium
Ended at the World 18th International Time Zone
at exactly 11:59:59 PM December 31, 2000

David (before the event) did not share the name
of a single 3rd Millennium Painting
until after he had already started (began) them
and in some cases waited days
if not weeks to months or more later...
always stating the right to name any of the
2nd or 3rd Millennium paintings had never been his right ...
